All linens/pillows/towels are furnished. Smoke detectors and fire extinguisher installed. The home has a lighted outside deck for enjoying the evenings. A picnic table, a gas barbque and a firepit are available for use. The quartz Mountain Park is home to a nature center, hiking trails, swimming beaches, fishing, with Mt. Baldy, a rock climbers challenge. ATV trails with sand dunes are at the north of the lake. The lake is large, so bring your boat, kayack, canoe, or other motorized watercraft. The area is non-commercialized, but has a convenience store for groceries, ice, bait. A park ranger station is located inside the park to provide information, maps and suggestions for the area. If you should desire restaurants, there are suggestions with their menus located in a folder in the house. The closest restaurant is located at Quartz Mountain lodge, approx 1 mile from the home. There is a train that has a scheduled 2 hour ride close to the lake that you would need to call for date and tickets. The property is approached via a short path surrounded by grass, which leads you to the porch area which features seating and the home’s distinctive red front door. Before you enter, why not take in the splendor of what’s around you, from the mountains in the distance to the flowers and plants that decorate the house, giving it a really homely feel. And it’s a theme that’s continued inside. The front door opens onto a big open plan living area. The first thing you’ll probably notice is the brightness and spaciousness of the place, thanks to its clean white walls, the combination of windows and a sky light, and the high ceilings. The stairs are immediately on your left, but more about what’s up there shortly. First, let’s enjoy what’s down here because there’s plenty. Starting with the couch and coffee table that face the wall mounted widescreen TV. A great place to relax after a long day’s hiking or fishing in the sun. Across the room there’s a classic wooden dining table that seats four. Where better to get together and enjoy the meals you create in the kitchen? It’s fully equipped with everything you need for the times you decide not to eat out or use the BBQ, and for when you need to clean and dry your clothes following a hike or fishing trip. A huge fridge freezer provides plenty of storage space for anything you’ve been lucky (or skillful) enough to catch in the lakes, and for things you buy in the local stores. Two barstools provide a small seating area for two in the kitchen, ideal for grabbing a quick snack or coffee before another busy day. And there’s a door from the kitchen that leads out onto a decking area where you’ll discover the BBQ set, and the garden beyond. Also downstairs, accessed through a door under the staircase is the master bedroom that features a comfortable Memory foam Queen bed with plenty of closet space to store your things. There’s another flat screen TV in here on top of one of the closets, ideal for some early morning or late night super-relaxed viewing in bed. The room has the added bonus of an ensuite that is modern and comfortable, featuring a bath with shower over, a Jacuzzi and washbasin. Now to the upstairs, where you’ll find the second bedroom which features a Queen bed and plenty of storage space. There’s also a second, smaller washroom up here. Beautiful rocks, birds, and you can see the Elmer Thomas Lake , and Mt Scott in the Wichita Wildlife Refuge. Hiking and Mountain Biking trails lead from our backyard or across the street. Our cabin gives a fresh breath of air and a peaceful mind escape from busy society. You can walk the small downtown with several quaint shops and places to eat and get ice cream. The sunsets are really the best on our deck or hike to the prayer flags on Bear Mountain. Our visitors have enjoyed sitting by the fire inside or having coffee and reading a book outside. You are sure to be impressed with the scenic vistas and historic sites. There are rock formations larger than a small city in this place. You could start the day with a fly rod and a largemouth bass, hike to a natural bridge by noon and end the day with a steak at the Old Plantation restaurant in Medicine Park. If you like watersports we have the famed, granite bottom, blue water Lake Lawtonka, just at the foot of the mountains. You would have to drive eight hours west to see anything like this. The Bunkhouse was located on an unnamed road, but not anymore. It is now on 'Bunkhouse Road' with an official Comanche County street sign as verification. Just behind us are three blue-eyed Gypsy Vanner horses that make their him on two adjacent pastures of the Windsong Ranch and directly behind them are a herd of alpaca. Eclectic would describe this lodging but it reflects the multi facets of Southwest Oklahoma on a year round basis. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do! There have been many a barbecue around the pool and room to play croquet or Boche (or any other outdoor games) in the private backyard. Enjoy board games in the living room or just watch some movies with the family. There is a 2 car garage to bring your vehicles in in case of rough weather. Guest access This whole home is here for you and is a very private residence. Other things to note The pool is winterized and unavailable from November 1st through April 1st. My house is your house while you are in town! I have a three bedroom home that is nicely anointed with comfortable beds and linens. I have a nicely stocked kitchen with cookware, dishes, utensils, coffee maker, keurig and toaster. Be comfortable on the couch (Bassett brand with a fold out sleeper)or the master bedroom while watching one of our smart TVs. Ample parking and we have a sitting area and grill out back. Be casual and comfortable at my house.

The mini kitchenette includes sink, 2 medium-sized dorm refrigerators, 2 microwaves, toaster oven ,crockpot, electric skillet, instapot, mixer and single burner plate. A propane grill is also available in a covered pavilion overlooking a pond with 2 picnic tables and mister for comfortable picnic days outside. There is one ¾ bathroom. There is one television receiving Over the Air channels as well as programing via Roku on Wifi. There is also a DVD player, older Nintendo and some Legos/books/games. It is a very quiet place. You might hear cows or coyotes, but that’s about it. It’s about a 15 minute drive into Lawton with it all being paved except the last quarter of a mile.
